BEHIND THE SCENES IN THE WORLD OF ANIMATED FILMS!
This is great that you are taking the time and hard work to do this again. I've found this blog to be very inspirational. Especially the Sword and the stone backgrounds. Question; Would you be able to post the pencil layouts? That stuff really gets me! Also, you are an inspiration. I cant believe your 58.Im going back to the gym. No more Oreos for me! Much luck!!
you are the coolest! )your blog takes a very specific and narrow niche, and it fills it in masterfully.I can't say I take it all in since I'm not an expert, but reading your blog sets my mind to peace. thank you for making the effort!
Tony - thank you so much!I don't have access to original artwork - sorry. These re-creations are digital composites. And by all means go train. Bigger muscles burn more fat which allow the occasional cookies!!!
honey bunny bar - thanks for your encouragement! No need to be an expert - just enjoy the artwork in your very own way!
i am so glad to return to your blog and see you back again! i was sad to read your were going on a hiatus. fearing that one day your blog would be taken down for being inactive. just a crazy fear!thank you so much for continuing to share your talent!!!maraming salamat sir rob!
I didn't know you were posting again! Great!!
Hey, Rob--I'm usually a lurker, but if the call has gone out for comments, I'm happy to come out of the shadows! I absolutely love the blog. It was one of the first that I began following when I got into blogging as a way to join/follow the animation community a few years ago. I was sorry to see you go for a while and so happy for you to be back and that things are going well for you now!I had no idea that you play the organ at a theater--I'm in Chicago, and a theater here, The Music Box, has an old organ and occasionally will do silent films/animated films with the organ accompaniment. Being able to see them in that original way is incredible, so I love to see someone who is part of keeping that wonderful tradition alive. As a kid of the 90s, my favorite backgrounds are the Disney Renaissance pieces you put up (some from Brother Bear and Tarzan have just blown me away), but seeing the breadth of the styles and eras you cover is excellent. So, sorry--long comment. Just want to tell you how much I appreciate the time you take to put this blog together!
I have always enjoyed your blog. I am pleasantly surprised to see you are back! I'm glad things are working out for you!
